Whitehall Cricket Club
A little bit about us
Whitehall were originally formed just after the Second World War by three brother, Roly, Fred,
and Stan Bissett and their families. Originally playing cricket as Bissett's Mission, a small Sunday
school near Armley Jail. After merging with Whitehall Road Methodists (hence the name
Whitehall), the club playing in the Leeds Sunday School League. We then joined the Leeds
Combination League and then onto the Barkston Ash League until 1989 when we found our
current league the Dales Council.

We have played at a number of grounds down the years, these include, Brown's Field, Armley
Park, Soldier's Field (Roundhay Park) and Templenewsam before moving Becketts Park in 1986.
This was our home for the next 21 seasons. Since the 2007 season we have played our home
games at Drighlington Cricket Club, Station Road.
