Whitehall Cricket Club
Weather beats Whitehall again
For the 2nd week running and 3rd time in 4 games, the weather had the final say in the
result.

Whitehall travelled to early season surprise package Pudsey St Lawrence. However
persistent rain from Thursday through to Saturday made play seem incredibly remote at best.

And so it was to be, efforts were made in the morning to have the game called off, however
league rules prevented this so 8 hearty soles from Whitehall turned up to Priesthorpe school.

Unlike 7 days earlier the pitch was clearly unplayable, with water under foot from the
boundary age right up to the square.

So the game was called off, as was every game in the division, so now ground lost to the
pace setters, but equally a chance to close the gap with the top was lost.
