| Bob joined Whitehall in the late 1990's and marked his debut in the 2nd XI with a half century away at Castlehill at their old ground in Middleton. While batting Bob resembles a young Tony Greig with his stance and blond locks. His batting style is very aggressive but its all in timing rather than hefty blows. His one fifty for the 1st XI game in the 2000 against Pudsey Congs. 3 years late Bob took joint captaincy of the newly created second team alongside Pete Smith. And it was Bob who lead the side to their only victory that season. Since that time Bob has been in and out of the side for numerous reasons. Arguably Whitehall's finest slip fielding (although I am quite sure Dock will dispute this fact), he's taken some wonder catches, and vital times in games. |
