| Simon Mace is Whitehall's opening bowler, one of the most respected in the Dales Council. Currently closing in on Dennis Nash's record of 426, Simon needs to take 34 more wickets to surpass this total. Simon's consistent line and length means he usually bowls very economically, and even if a batsmen does start to score runs heavily Simon usually ends up having the last laugh by ultimately dismissing him. Simon's fielding is usually a very tidy field with an arm like rocket, and Simon takes his batting very very seriously and can often be seen practising a whole range of shots (sometimes even while he's batting at the non strikers end). Simon is now close to becoming the clubs leading wicket table in the Dales Council, and his 5 wickets against Crompark in July 2007 meant he'd taken more 5 wickets hauls than any other player. |
