This game between Whitehall and Wibsey was played at former county ground Bradford Park Avenue, what started out as a glorious day for cricket saw Whitehall bowl Wibsey out for 99 with Simon Mace the pick of the bowlers taking 5-31 from his 15.3 overs. Whitehall set about chasing the target of 100, but the weather soon turned grim and rain wasn't far away, despite Wibsey's efforts to slow the game down, Whitehall hurriedly reached their target for the loss of only 2 wickets to keep the title race alive. Unfortunately Whitehall were to finish the season in 3rd after a defeat in the return fixture in September. The aftermath of the return game so Whitehall part company with 11 players.
