Update.

Slowly but surely I will be updating the website over the coming days and weeks. Ill be
updating all the stats up to last weekend as soon as I get chance.

A quick run through of our season so far. The first 2 games of the season have had to be
rearranged, the first against Mount is still to be confirmed. The second against new side
Hyde Park will be the 15th June 2008 at Bedquilts, Adel.

So we finally got our season off and running on the 3rd May, against Pudsey St Lawrence.
We managed to restrict them to 69 with debutant Martin Young without doubt the pick of
the bowlers returning figures of 7-14. Star in the field was undoubtedly Les Benton who
was making his first appearance for quite some time. Whitehall then chased the target of
70 losing 4 wickets, Paul Dockerty top scoring with 34. The Telegraph and Argus report
can be found
here.

Whitehall then made their first trip to Bedquilts of 2008 to face Cookridge. Batting first
Whitehall posted a decent score of 261-5 with the highlight of that innings being Andy
Robinson's first 100 for Whitehall making 101 before being run out. Nigel Dibb made an
unbeaten 50, and Neil Robinson shared a stand of 99 with brother Andy before he was also
run out. In reply Cookridge managed 87. The pick of the bowlers probably being Paul
Dockerty, who some how failed to take a wicket in his 7 overs, costing 12 runs. The
wickets were shared amongst the other 4 bowlers with Simon Mace and Joe Bainbridge
picking up 2 apiece and Neil Robinson and Martin Young taking 1 each. The Yorkshire
Evening Post report can be found
here.

That win sees Whitehall sitting in 4th after the third week of the season with a game in
hand, 6 points behind early pace setters and new boys, Hepworth & Idle.
